We came back about an hour later to find the second room had been given to someone else and that our new option was a room on the 10th floor. The manager said he would move us to another room on the same floor and we agreed that we would do that when we came back from getting some fresh air. This was already a supposedly upgraded room on the 24th floor so heaven knows what the lower floors are like. Needless to say we kicked up a huge fuss. There was more mould round the edges of the shower and the housekeeper must have been blind to have missed it. The room was acceptable and after a long journey the first thing we wanted to do was get a shower - only to find a huge lump of black mould in clear vision. We knew it wasn't the newest of hotels and so we were prepared for it not being the same standard as the previous accommodation we had enjoyed.
Having been to Las Vegas a number of times and previously stayed at hotels including the Vdara, the Palazzo and the Bellagio, we found a deal that was too good to be true to stay at the Mirage.
